The
Exhibition
The
Exhibition
Not only creating together, but also presenting and sharing our creations with our family, friends and local community concludes the Reinventing Role Models Project.
The exhibition is a chance for the children to shine. It gives them an opportunity to teach others about the inspirational people they’ve discovered.
Sharing…
Our Experiences
Each child finishes the youth camp with a biography and portrait of their role model, coloured by their own character and experiences. Together, these snapshots of remarkable lives will form an exhibition that allows the children to showcase their work for family, friends, and the local community.
The pieces created by the children are complemented by photographs documenting their experiences at the youth camp as well as boards offering more information about the motivation behind the Reinventing Role Models project.
A Platform…
For Dialogue
As well as giving the children a chance to show off their work, the exhibition offers local parents, teachers, artists, writers, and community members a chance to reflect on some of the ideas the kids have been getting to grips with. Whether this occurs through panel discussions, question-and-answer sessions, or informal chats will depend on each community. What matters is that those involved have a space in which to both speak and hear about topics affecting the lives of children today. Our aspiration for the Reinventing Role Models project is to prove a springboard for further cultural initiatives wherever they take place.
